They think anything that might take the power away from the government and protect the people is right wing. People don’t see that the government greed is no better then individual greed. The government is nothing more then a monopoly with an army that takes your income without just compensation or willing exchange.

How can ANYONE with an OUNCE of brain matter not understand this? If the government TAXES people for success, they are PUNISHING accomplishment. Don’t think in BILLIONS. Think in terms of kids selling lemonade. One kid makes really lousy lemonade and his sales stink. Another kid makes GREAT lemonade, and everyone wants it. You are PUNISHING that kid for doing something good in order to subsidize the kid who didn’t. And this is good, HOW?

Anyone who thinks that taxes are GOOD is nonproductive.

Taking John Marshall completely out of context. The court case involved a state government’s (I believe it was Maryland) ability to tax the national bank, which was the federal government. John Marshall was talking about unreasonable taxes that are meant to break institutions. The real question was, did the states have the right to tax the federal government. BTW, the income tax as we think of today did not exist during Marshall’s time. Check facts before looking like an idiot.

yes, higher tax rates for the wealthy just makes them stop working and investing… you do know that is absolute bull shit right? How about the part you conveniently left out about how the high tax rate is intentionally set so that tax breaks for good behavior offset and engineer direct responsibility without the need of govt intervention.

You cannot tax a country into prosperity, only into slavery. We don’t need an income tax. Nor a flat tax, nor a VAT tax, not a ‘fair’ tax. It’s OUR money and we need to spend it the way WE want to, not decided by some ass-hole politician. With more of OUR money in circulation, everyone prospers, proven by how our economy gets a boos when there is a temporary tax cut.

FACT: The graduated income tax does NOT pay for any government service.

It needs to be dropped in total.

Cut spending.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot; DRASTICALLY reduce the salaries and benefits for elected officials. Those assholes got us into this mess, its fair they feel the same sting they have so unjustly inflicted upon Joe and Jane taxpayer.
